Breaking down barriers between young people and adults through football
CYP uses football as a vehicle, and often as our first point of contact with young people, we begin to build rapport with them.
The developing relationship with youth workers helps to break down barriers between young people and adults which usually exist in deprived areas, where young people have developed a distrust of adults and authority. By nourishing these positive relationships, we are able to reduce barriers to entry and are able to begin teaching through football.
